Euan Imrie - Chair of Trustees

Euan is Chief Operating Officer at The Charities Trust, and was formerly Bursar at Sandbach School for eight years. Before this, he was Group Finance Director at Littlewoods Retail, responsible for the entire finance function for this £2b turnover organisation. Euan has a mixture of financial and commercial/business experience which he has also put into practice in an educational setting at Christleton High School. With a degree in Business Studies, Euan is also a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA).

With almost 30 years’ experience in the private sector with blue chip companies including Shell and Vimto, Nigel brings strong financial, marketing, management and commercial skills to the Trust. He has a proven track record of implementing successful turnaround plans and organisational growth strategies.

Damian Stenhouse - Education Improvement Partner

Damian Stenhouse - Educational Leadership

Having retired from the Headship of Christleton High School in August 2019, Damian is now provides educational leadership across the Trust. His key responsibilities will be leadership, strategy and ethos, together with school improvement and performance management. Damian has a wealth of experience in the education sector, having held a number of different posts in his 35-year teaching career.

Phil Hill - Facilities Manager

Phil Hill - Facilities Manager

Responsible for the maintenance and development of all our facilities, Phil is key to the smooth running of the Trust schools. For more than 14 years he has worked to successfully secure funding and deliver over £10 million in refurbishment and building including swimming pool, all-weather pitch and numerous new school buildings. Phil can turn his hand to anything and can often be found working alongside his team of skilled maintenance and improvement workers. He takes an active part in setting and planning budgets and is responsible to Trustees and local governors for the health and safety of our school buildings.

Lesley Carding - Finance Manager

Lesley Carding - Finance Manager

After qualifying as a Chartered Certified accountant and working in practice Lesley joined us 14 years ago as Finance Officer. Her responsibilities have grown as greater delegation of funds occurred and she is now our Trust Finance Manager, responsible for the delivery and probity of a circa £10m budget. She works across the Trust leading procurement and delivery teams ensuring that we obtain maximum value of taxpayers’ money for our children’s education. Lesley is accountable to the CEO and Trustees who in turn are accountable to the government and audited by Crowe UK accountants.
